The Mercator Foundation China Representative Office was established in 2015. It is the branch of the Mercator Foundation in China that is one of the largest private foundations in Germany. The main purpose of the Mercator Foundation is to promote tolerance across cultures and races, and its main areas of cooperation are "multicultural integration", "climate change", and "cultural education". The Mercator Foundation is very enthusiastic about exchanges between China and Germany and has multiple exchange and cooperation projects in China. The celebration aims to expand the influence of the foundation in China and build a bridge of friendship between China and Germany.

墨卡托基金会中国代表处成立于2015年，它是德国最大的私人基金会之一墨卡托基金会在中国的分支机构，墨卡托基金会主要目的是推动跨越文化和种族的宽容，其主要的合作领域是“多元融合”，“气候变化”，以及“文化教育”这三个主题。墨卡托基金会非常热衷于中德交流，在中国有多个合作项目。庆祝活动希望扩大基金会在国内的影响力，搭建中德之间的友谊桥梁。
