Goethe-Institut China wishes to make a brief review of the cultural activities held in recent years in 2010. The souvenirs should be designed as a practical gift, and it could play the role of propagating the culture of Goethe-Institut.
The planning of this series of gifts are named as cultural comma. Each cultural activity of Goethe is just like the comma, playing the connecting role among the Chinese-Germany cultural communication activities. The geometrized simple comma is acted as the core symbol penetrating all visuals. The poker and notebook are all designed with the element of comma. And by combining with the related Visual Identity Design Manual[*1] of Goethe-Institut, the design not only highlights the theme of this series of activity but also reflects the property of the institute.
